Darbe Images: My Favorite Photos of 2019

Two thousand and nineteen was mixed bag.

The year started off productive. I worked in, and got to photograph, San Francisco and New Orleans early on. In July I made the long overdue move from my forever home in New York City, to the always sunny Miami. Working remotely for Medscape has been a big change for me. I was a little apprehensive at first but, I've settled in and things are beginning to feel like normal here in southern Florida. It sux that Donald Trump followed me down here though. Another thing that sucked even more this year? A few months ago, I lost my best friend Joe, to kitty cancer. This has been very difficult to deal with but, I'm hopeful that in 2020 I'll find a new fur buddy to try and fill that immense hole that Joe left behind. 2019 was the year of saying goodbye, for sure. I said adios to a lot of friends and loved ones. I guess I just wasn't feeling the relationships anymore or the communication was crap? 2020 will be about new relationships and strengthening the few great ones I still have. Speaking of such... the highlight of this past year was my annual trip to California. This time I talked my cousins into making their first trek out to the west coast to join me in LA and the Joshua Tree NP for some hiking and photography. We had an amazing time together and created some lasting memories. #familybonds Can't wait to see what 2020 has in store for me. #changeandadapt
